What I saw today

It actually is soo simple but it just made me smile.

I was on the train and the ticket guy come round, so the man on the opposite side to me asked to buy a ticket using his card, so the ticket man punched it into the machine what he wanted. He then took the card from the guy but the machine wouldn’t regester it and it wouldn’t work, so he took it out and tried again but it still wouldn’t work, so he then tried to swipe it, but it wouldn’t work, which meant the guy had to get off at the next stop and buy a ticket there- the man seemed a bit stressed.. Maybe he had to be somewhere. I sat and thought that if I had the money I would have offered the ticket guy to try my card, to save the man the bother of having to get off and buy one then get another train, but I knew I couldn’t afford it :(

The ticket guy soon went away after seeing all the tickets of the people in my carrage and after a while the woman in front of the guy stood herself up and checked for the ticket man who was no where to be seen, she the proceded to pass her ticket onto the guy. He mouthed ‘Thank you’ and she sat back down.

I thought it was really nice of her and it just made me smile, bcos it’s like there are good people in this world! Call me sad, but I just thought it was really nice of her to go without a ticket for him. Luckily the same ticket guy come around later so because he’d already seen mine and the other woman’s, he didn’t check ours again!!
